How La Palomita Came to Be
How It Began
I fell in love with La Palomita due to it’s proximity to downtown without being in the heart of the hustle and bustle. I wanted to be able to offer my guests a place to work and play, and being close to downtown without all of the noise was essential to that desire.
I also love the historic nature of the property. On the very same property is the Historic Governor’s Mansion, and La Palomita and its sister-condos were designed to blend together a residential and hospitality lifestyle in one place, all in honor of the first female Governor of Texas, Miriam Ferguson.
My hope is that you will come and enjoy Austin just like a local would — with calm and comfort over novelty or noise. La Palomita is a peaceful home base and a beautiful place to settle in, whether you’re here for work, an event, or a meaningful visit to the city.
